Overview
The APS24 combines a 10/100BaseT Ethernet interface with a 400K gate FPGA and Flash storage.  The APS24 connects to the P1 memory expansion port.  The FPGA is an XC3S400 Spartan3 programmed by the P1 Blackfin processor.  Programming bits loaded into the FPGA are stored in a Flash storage device on the adapter.  The FPGA is for custom algorithm such as JPEG2000, MPEG and related applications.  The Flash is accessed by the P1 Blackfin processor.

FPGA Subsystem
The FPGA subsystem is based on an XC3S400 Spartan 3.  The FPGA is programmed by the Blackfin using bits stored in an on board Flash device or downloaded via the Ethernet interface.
